Professional cycling biomechanics and bike fitting from a qualified Physiotherapist

A high-level biomechanical optimisation service designed to reduce pain, resolve imbalances, and improve comfort and performance. Without one-size-fits-all rules.

Our goal is to help cyclists of all levels ride stronger, smoother, and more comfortably by integrating the bicycle to the rider’s unique functional levels. We focus on comfort, power, symmetry and balance top optimise your performance.

What Neill’s Bike Fit Does

Individualised biomechanics for comfort, symmetry, and speed.

Neill’s Bike Fit is a high-level, individualised biomechanical optimisation process for cyclists. The focus is resolving balance and weight distribution issues, chronic discomfort, symmetry limitations, post-injury movement problems, and performance constraints that show up on the bike.

The goal is a position where both legs work as smoothly and equally as possible, while the upper body stays unloaded and stable.

Built for Every Rider (and Every Discipline)

Neill’s Bike Fit works with all rider levels—from weekend cyclists through to elite athletes including NRS, Continental, and WorldTour riders. Services support road, MTB, time trial, and triathlon positions.

You’re in the right place if… ↓

  • You feel pain, tightness, numbness, or recurring “niggles” on the bike

  • You’re returning from injury and can’t settle into a position

  • You feel uneven, unstable, or inconsistent through the pedal stroke

  • You want better comfort and efficiency, without guessing

A Clinical Process, Not a Template

Because rules only work for a small portion of riders

Rather than relying on rigid angle targets or generic positioning formulas, Neill’s Bike Fit uses a clinical, rider-specific approach. Each session begins with a detailed history of injuries, goals, and cycling challenges, followed by assessment of mechanical symmetry, functional symmetry, neurological imbalance, posture, flexibility and cycling style.

From there, the bike is adjusted to match how the rider functions—so the position supports smooth control, stability, and sustainable output.

What Riders Usually Notice

When symmetry improves and the upper body is unloaded, discomfort tends to reduce, fatigue becomes more manageable, and power becomes easier to access across the pedal stroke—because the rider is no longer fighting instability.

The biomechanics behind the outcomes

Cycling demands thousands of repeated movements per hour, which exposes small asymmetries quickly.

Instability often shows up first as tightness and fatigue, and eventually becomes pain when compensation strategies fail.

A stable, symmetrical position improves efficiency, breathing mechanics, and endurance comfort.

Satisfaction-Backed Support

Because the human body adapts, bike fitting isn’t always “set once, never touch again.” We build in follow-up support so riders can settle into the position, then refine it once new movement patterns become consistent.

The Full Service Fit includes a money-back guarantee and unlimited positional tweaks for 3 months after the session, designed to refine the position as the rider adapts.

Based at The Sports Hub, Kawana

Neill’s Bike Fit operates from The Sports Hub in Kawana on the Sunshine Coast, with an in-clinic process designed for accurate assessment and precise on-bike optimisation.
